May 20, 2026
As part of the Kingdom of Peace and Justice Center’s busy international agenda currently underway in the State of Israel, on May 20, Dr. José Benjamín Pérez Matos held a formal meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the official headquarters of the Presidency of the State of Israel in Jerusalem.
During the meeting, both parties addressed highly relevant issues related to current international affairs, the contemporary geopolitical landscape, and the challenges facing Israel in the current regional and global context.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to present various projects initiated by the Kingdom of Peace and Justice Center, including those currently underway and future international initiatives aimed at strengthening diplomatic, institutional, and cultural ties with Israel.
One of the central themes highlighted by Dr. José Benjamín Pérez Matos was the ambitious international public diplomacy program that the Center has been carrying out in Latin America, aimed at promoting strategic recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel and the relocation of embassies to that city.
In this context, Dr. José Benjamín Pérez Matos explained to President Herzog the work currently being carried out through contacts with Latin American political leaders, legislators, and institutional figures, to whom specialized documentation is presented on the geopolitical, historical, and diplomatic importance of moving the embassies to Jerusalem.
In addition, a report was provided on the drafting and submission of a detailed framework bill, designed to be subsequently adapted to the legislative and constitutional systems of each Latin American country, with the aim of facilitating the future introduction of parliamentary initiatives aimed at relocating their respective embassies to the city of Jerusalem.
The initiative is part of a broader international strategy, spearheaded by the Kingdom of Peace and Justice Center, aimed at strengthening the defense of the State of Israel’s rights and consolidating institutional cooperation ties with various political and social actors in the Americas.
The meeting at the Israeli presidential headquarters took place in an atmosphere of cordiality, mutual respect, and an exchange of views on contemporary international challenges, reaffirming the ongoing ties between the Kingdom of Peace and Justice Center and various institutional sectors of the State of Israel.
